Yassi Pressman addressed the dating speculations hounding her and Camarines Sur Gov. Luigi Villafuerte, with the actress admitting that the two of them are currently “getting to know each other more.”
“Me and Luigi have known each other for a very long time. Parang 10 years na kaming magkakilala (We have known each other for about 10 years),” Pressman said in an exclusive interview for “24 Oras” on Thursday, Aug. 24.
“So now, we’re just spending more time together and getting to know each other more,” she added, opting not to expound on the status of their relationship.
Pressman also spoke about her recent breakup with her ex-fiancé, entrepreneur Jon Semira, and stressed that both of them wanted to keep matters regarding their previous relationship private.
“Bilang tao, meron pa rin pong mga bagay na we wanted to keep private. Pero OK lang—me and the people involved, lahat kami maayos at nag-uusap pa rin kami hanggang ngayon,” she stated.
(As humans, we still wanted to keep certain things private. But we’re OK—I and the people involved are on good terms and we still talk to each other.)
The actress further noted that despite the personal struggles she has been going through, she always tries to show up “happy and ready” to work.
Semira confirmed last Aug. 16 that “it has been a while” since his breakup with Pressman. He also dismissed speculations that there was a third party in their relationship, which apparently arose after videos of Villafuerte kissing Pressman on the cheek made rounds on social media.
Days after the cheek kiss video went viral, Pressman and Villafuerte were spotted together again on what appeared to be an off-roading date.
Meanwhile, Pressman was also earlier romantically linked to presidential son, Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos after she was seen cozying up with him during a party. The actress has since denied the dating speculations and clarified that the two of them are just friends. /ra
