Ex-gay lovers reunited for an evening

/ 10:15 PM July 24, 2012

At a recent high-profile industry gathering, former lovers inadvertently spent time together again.

Closeted Gay and Hunky Actor were sweethearts—practically “married,” it turns out—but they parted ways when HA’s career hit the big time.

When HA was still a struggling neophyte, CG threw a big bash for him. Invited Guest was stunned when he realized the party venue was CG’s pad, which apparently doubled as a love nest. Awww…

AA and PH were soon engaged in a war of wills … until PH gave AA a reality check: “I’m the boss here.” Subtext: If AA didn’t like PH’s ideas, the studio’s door was wide open.

Did AA misbehave? Well, PH beat the deadline.

Beautiful bum

Seems Gifted Actress is back to her old ways.

GA first made a splash when she was launched in an internationally lauded project. But a series of setbacks pushed her over the edge.

A mole recently spotted GA hanging out in a Manila street corner. Accompanied by a new lover, GA looked disheveled and disturbed.

Is GA bitter about breaking up with Handsome Actor, who’s now rolling in dough after hooking up with Influential Benefactor?

Despondent or not, GA is a beautiful bum.

Snooky’s back

Actress Snooky Serna insists she’s raring to go back to work and prepared to leave behind her troublesome habits.

“Past is past,” she vows.

She recently signed up with GRowL, a production and management company set up by Girlie Rodis, Roselle Monteverde and Leo Dominguez.

Snooky is also a returning Regal baby, with a new movie under the company that built her up as a teenage star. “I have a love-hate relationship with (Regal producer) Mother Lily Monteverde. But she never gave up on me,” the actress, now 46, said.

She has nothing but good wishes for former husband Ricardo Cepeda who has found a new love in model Marina Benipayo. “If my husband is happy, my two daughters (Sam, 19, and Satchi, 15) will be happy, too,” said Snooky. “I’d like to thank Marina because she also helps in co-parenting my children. I’ve found peace. I’m cool.”

From Leyte with love

We got this message from veteran dancer Odon Sabarre, who is based in Tacloban now:

“I am saddened by the passing of Dolphy. He was my friend. My late brother Tommy and I met him [when we were still billed as the Sabarre Brothers] on the TV show ‘Seeing Stars with Joe Quirino.’”

“I fondly called him Tito Dolphy and he told us that he was our fan. I was floating on air for days to have heard a superstar say that.

“He invited me to do a special dance number with Alma Moreno in the movie ‘Ay Manuela.’ And before I left for Russia for further ballet training, I had a farewell concert and he was my special guest.”

“It was a privilege, Tito. Thank you very much.”

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):

Richard Gutierrez on “Makapiling Kang Muli” (GMA 7 drama series) co-star Sarah Lahbati: “We’re becoming quite close. We go out even on days when we’re not working. Aside from being beautiful, she has a great personality.” (Hmmm. Sounds like a movie is next.)

Nicki Minaj on her recent visit to Manila: “[The Philippines] reminded me of our country Trinidad and Tobago when we were driving from the airport. It kinda seemed like a warm place, the people seemed warm and friendly. It looks beautiful to me, actually.” (Sounds like a repeat.)

Judy Ann Santos, asked if she wants a new baby: “We talk about it … I’m ready because once I turn 37, I don’t want to get pregnant anymore.”

DENNIS Trillo

Dennis Trillo, asked if he’s willing to do a project with ex-girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado: “Let’s see.” (Got that. Let’s not.)

Lolit Solis to Angelica Jones, who’s having relationship woes: “Your boyfriend probably left because there are a lot of geckos in your house.” (Geckos on legs?)

Sharon Cuneta on being emotionally stronger: “At last, I bumped my head and woke up. I used to just swallow anything that people did to me.” (Good morning, Mega!)

Sharon on rumors that her show “Sharon: Kasama Mo Kapatid” will be axed soon: “Ano ba ang source niya, Pasig River?” (Uh, did we miss something here?)

Mylene Dizon on the reason she broke up with musician Ira Cruz: “When you start to feel it’s no longer working, you should be honest with yourselves and accept it. Dead end is … dead end. But we had a great relationship. Ira and I are very good friends.”

Mylene on being single again: “I am more focused on my family … and my work. I have so much time for myself. I get to travel, do new things.” (Are relationships overrated, in fact?)
