Sean Lester Beltran, a Tiktok star known for his “inspirasean”-centered content, has died after succumbing to bone cancer. He was 21.
Beltran’s mother, Leslie Beltran Hernandez, confirmed his death on her Facebook account on Sunday, Aug. 20, saying her son will “always be in [her] heart.”
“With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved son, Sean Lester Beltran. Lord, bless the soul of my son. Let him be resting in peace and experiencing the tremendous joys of heaven. [In] loving memory of my son, his life was a blessing, a treasure. The love you gave and the life you lived, will forever be remembered,” she wrote.
“YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEART ANAK [sobbing emoji] MAHAL NA MAHAL NA MAHAL KITA ANAK. JUNE 08 2002 – AUGUST 20, 2023,” she further added.
Beltran had revealed during a 24 Oras interview that he was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2021, which started with muscle pain after a workout session.
“Akala ko po [na] tumatalab na yung pag-workout ko, sumasakit na yung muscles ko. Magdadalawang buwan na po, hindi pa rin po nawawala kaya napilitan po akong ipahilot po (I thought my fitness routine was working, but my muscles continued to hurt. It had been two months and the pain remained. So I was forced to have myself massaged),” he said.
Despite his condition, he said on a Facebook post last May that his dream was simple, which was to do everyday activities normally.
“Napaka simple lang ng pangarap ko ngayon. Makatulog ng mahimbing. Makapag lakad ng diretso at walang sakit. Makaligo ng maayos. Makabangon ng walang bumubuhat. Magkaroon ng gana kumain. Yan lang ang mga pangarap ko (I have just a simple dream. To sleep normally. Work properly without any pain. Take a bath properly. Get up without someone lifting me. Have the appetite to eat. Those are just my dreams),” he said.
“Kaya kung feeling mo hindi ka blessed, ikumpara mo ang sarili mo sa akin. Ang pangarap ko ay yung mga bagay na madali mong nagagawa. Kaya magpasalamat sa mga bagay na nakasanayan mo na. Akala mo wala lang pero sobrang importante na pala sa iba,” he further added.
(So if you feel like you’re not blessed, put yourself in my shoes. My dream is to do activities without much effort. So be thankful for things that you do routinely. You think they’re nothing, but they’re very important to other people.) /ra
