‘Prof’ Jak Roberto holds ‘anti-silos class’ at Jose Rizal University
Jak Roberto seems to be taking his job as a “professor” on relationships quite seriously after holding an “anti-silos” class at a university in Mandaluyong, dishing out friendly advice to lovestruck couples at risk of breakup due to jealousy.
What began as a viral meme on social media due to Roberto’s laid-back attitude towards his girlfriend Barbie Forteza’s onscreen partnership with fellow Kapuso actor David Licauco, ultimately transformed into an in-person meeting at Jose Rizal University.
He appeared in a tailor-fit black suit and white top, fully prepared to share his insights about overcoming “silos,” a colloquial term for “selos,” or jealousy — referencing his skill to not succumb to jealousy concerning the “BarDa” love team.
One of the memes show “Prof. Jak” giving one-liner relationship advice to anyone going through a jealous fit before performing a sexy dance to Mariah Carey’s “My All,” as seen in a video on Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s Instagram page on Saturday, Aug. 19.
“Prof. Jak, ano pong masasabi niyo sa mga nagseselos nang walang laban (Prof. Jak, what can you say to those who get jealous even if they don’t have the right to do so),” an unnamed “student” asked in the video.

The face-to-face “class,” which earned cheers from the audience, appeared to be part of Sparkle GMA’s talent recruitment program, as seen in the caption of its post.
“Prof. Jak Roberto is in the house [emoji] Jak Roberto holds his first ever face-to-face anti-silos class together with the students of Jose Rizal University for #SparkleCaravanJRU!” Sparkle GMA’s caption read.
In a separate post, Roberto can be seen interacting with JRU’s students and Kapuso executives during the event.
“The collab we all need. That was a fun-filled Saturday with Prof. Jak Roberto as he mingles with the students and auditionees at Jose Rizal University,” the talent agency wrote.

The “Kara Mia” star seemed to have enjoyed the event, as he thanked the university in the comments.
Roberto’s “anti-silos” class also caught the attention of Forteza where the “Maria Clara at Ibarra” star was among those who liked the posts.
The Kapuso hunk and Forteza have been in a relationship for six years, where the latter pointed out in a March 2023 interview that she’s “really, really, really happy” with their romance.
In a separate interview, the actress claimed that Roberto is “really supportive” of her love team with Licauco, saying that he even encourages their promotional activities together.
Their relationship was recently put on spotlight at the recent GMA Gala Night when they, along with Licauco, chose to go individually on the red carpet. Forteza and Roberto have previously gone together in formal events where the two of them were invited. EDV
