Maymay Entrata marks 7th year since PBB journey
Maymay Entrata shared her most recent “best clips,” as she celebrated her seventh anniversary in the entertainment industry.
Among the clips the 26-year-old Kapamilya star uploaded on Instagram were moments from a trip to London, during which she got to perform in a music festival that also featured Ben&Ben and Moira Dela Torre.
In her post’s caption, Entrata — who also posted a video of herself cuddling her pet cat Shaggy — did not shy away from displaying her faith, as she reminded everyone that nothing is impossible with the Lord.
“Sharing [with] you MAYloves my latest best clips, yung huli po ang pinaka[-]favorite ko (the last one is my most favorite),” wrote the “Fantastica” actress, referring to a video wherein she was worshipping and jamming to Christian band Planetshakers’ “Nothing Is Impossible.”
“[K]now that everything is possible with Him,” she added, before sharing her milestone with her supporters. “Happy 7th Anniversary po sa atin (to us) [emojis].”

The comments section was filled with love, support, and appreciation from fans, friends, and colleagues in show business. TV host Bianca Gonzalez commented, “So happy for you. Love you May!” while Entrata’s “Hello, Love, Goodbye” co-star Lovely Abella seconded her sentiment and wrote, “Yes nothing is impossible with Him. [emojis]”
It was in August 2016 when the then 19-year-old first entered the “Pinoy Big Brother” house. She would go on to win her season, as she edged out six other finalists who made it to “The Big Night.”
Since conquering the reality show’s “Lucky 7” season, Entrata has ventured into acting, hosting, dancing, modeling, and singing.
Her acting career features a number of projects shared with “Pinoy Big Brother” batchmate Edward Barber. Their loveteam would be known as “MayWard,” and topbilled the films “Loving in Tandem” and “Princess DayaReese.”
The reality TV product, for the past six years, would release a couple of albums including “MPOWERED,” which spawned arguably her biggest hit “AMAKABOGERA.” The empowering dance track garnered Entrata a Best Asia Act nomination at last year’s MTV Europe Music Awards. The award would, however, be clinched by South Korean boy group Tomorrow X Together.
In an Instagram post last month, following her performance at the music festival earlier mentioned, Entrata revealed how “AMAKABOGERA” pushed her to take singing more seriously.
“I wasn’t born na kumakanta na.. but 2 yrs ago, dahil sa ‘amakabogera,’ I challenged myself to learn how to sing.. it wasn’t an easy journey kasi I started from scratch po.. piyok doon, piyok dito[.] [K]ulang nalang kaboses ko na po si squeaky duck [emoji],” shared the Awit Award winner, who remains driven to further improve her skills and artistry.
(I wasn’t born with the ability to sing, but two years ago, because of “AMAKABOGERA,” I challenged myself to learn how to sing. It wasn’t an easy journey because I started from scratch. Voice crack here and there. Only a little more, and I would sound like a squeaky duck.)
“I had many doubts and felt like giving up, but God gave me the confidence to keep going and focus on my craft, allowing me to grow as an artist. Hindi man perpekto, pero I am grateful kasi alam ko I am a work in progress at patuloy akong matu[tu]to upang maibigay ang best ko para sa mga taong naniniwala sa akin,” she shared.
(I may not be perfect, but I am grateful because I know that I am a work in progress, and I would continue to learn in order to delivery my best for the people who believe in me.)
In 2018, she also became the first Filipino to walk the runway at Arab Fashion Week, as she showcased the work of Amato Couture. EDV
