EXO’s Baekhyun falls asleep for more than an hour during Twitter Space with fans

EXO’s Baekhyun caught his dedicated fans, also known as EXO-L, by surprise after falling asleep during a live audio conversation on Twitter Space Monday, July 31.
Baekhyun, who’s known for constantly reaching out to fans, caught them off guard after hosting a Twitter Space to interact with them but he ended up falling asleep for more than an hour.
The live chat started with the “Bambi” singer mumbling “Hello” in Korean before catching up with his fans. As the virtual gathering crossed the 23:29-minute mark, he suddenly went silent and breathing sounds were heard, signaling that he fell asleep.

With the help of his manager, Baekhyun woke up after more than an hour and was shocked that he fell into a deep snooze.
“Ah, I was in the middle of a dream. I snored? I don’t usually snore though,” he said in Korean, while laughing. “I snored? Like for real?”
The EXO member then confessed that he needs to catch up on sleep before ending the Space.
“Who fell asleep while I was sleeping? Be honest! Anyone [would] fall asleep while I was sleeping. That’s right, you should sleep when I’m sleeping as well… Ah, I’m sorry. I can’t do this anymore. I will go to sleep for a little bit more. Please be well. Stay well. Goodbye,” he said.
Baekhyun’s virtual gathering caught the attention of netizens, particularly on Twitter, with some hoping that he’s getting the rest he needs.

“He finally [ended] his Space. Everytime he gets quiet, I’m thinking if he went back to sleep again while it’s on. Take more rest, Baekhyun!!” one @kimme_exo said.

Meanwhile, @vicentejian made light of Baekhyun’s sleepy interaction with fans, while making an apparent reference to Kim Chiu’s “lahat kayo kabit (you’re all mistresses)” line in the 2015 film “Etiquette for Mistresses.”

The Space comes weeks after EXO dropped their seventh full-length album “Exist.” The record is the group’s first album to be promoted with seven members, since Kai is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service while Lay is busy with solo promotions in China.
Baekhyun debuted as the main vocalist of EXO in April 2012, and is a member of its sub-units EXO-K and EXO-CBX. The singer then made his solo debut in July 2019 with the mini-album “City Lights.”
The K-pop idol, best known for his songs “UN Village,” “Betcha,” “Candy,” and “Candy,” is also the leader of the K-pop supergroup SuperM with bandmate Kai. EDV
