Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza remain in marital bliss as they took to their respective social media platforms to express their joy after their wedding in Baguio City.
Atayde paid tribute to his “unbreakable” bond with Mendoza through a poem called “Cheers to Forever,” as seen on his Facebook account on Friday, July 28, after their star-studded wedding celebration.
“In a world where time dances swiftly by, where moments fade and memories die, let us raise a glass to a love so rare, a bond unbreakable, beyond compare. Cheers to forever, where hearts entwine. Where love’s flame burns with a light divine, through stormy seas and skies serene, together we stand, a united team,” he wrote.
The actor then described his relationship with his wife as a “fortress” and “sacred space,” saying their “love grows” as time passed by.
“In laughter and tears, we find our way. Hand in hand, come what may, through seasons of joy and trials we face, our love, a fortress, a sacred space,” he said. “Cheers to the whispers in the night, the gentle touch that feels so right. With each passing day, our love grows, in every breath, a love that overflows.”
The “Bagman” star also said he hoped that their relationship will “shine bright” with “each passing milestone” for “eternity.”
“Through the years, as wrinkles trace our skin, our souls [entwine], a testament within. With each passing milestone, we will see, our love shining bright, for eternity,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Mendoza took to her Instagram account to share their prenup video, which took place in different parts of the U.S., while the songs “No Song Without You” by English duo Honne and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen were playing in the background.
“Just us being us,” she said in the caption.
The video showed the couple enjoying fun date activities including a road trip, helicopter ride, and carnival day.
Exactly 10 years after the viral “Arjo cutie” tweet, Atayde and Mendoza said “I do” in a two-part wedding in Baguio City, where they first exchanged their vows at Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges and held a reception at Baguio Country Club.
Up to their wedding day, the couple kept details of their special day private to preserve its solemnity. EDV
