While Ria Atayde admitted that “Nag-aapoy na Damdamin” might be her most mature project to date, she expressed gratitude to her co-star Tony Labrusca for making her feel comfortable on set, especially when it comes to daring scenes.

Atayde said she’s “grateful” to have Labrusca as her onscreen partner during the show’s media conference, where she admitted that her character Melinda Buencamino is the “most mature role” she has ever done.

“As soon as we found out na magkakatrabaho kami, nag-effort na kami sa isa’t isa. Kaming apat [Tony Labrusca, Jane Oineza, JC de Vera, and I], we even tried to hang out prior to our work,” she further added.

The actress then shared that she’s the type of person who wants to know her co-stars before working with them, as she noted that it helps in being “mutually vulnerable” around each other.

“Personally, when I work with someone, nakakatulong na komportable ako sa kanila. At least I know something about them and they know something about me so we can be mutually vulnerable around each other without getting too conscious,” she said.

Meanwhile, Labrusca said that he “really appreciates” the actress’ effort to make him feel “comfortable,” while highlighting their “firsts” in filming intimate scenes.

“I really appreciate the effort that [Ria Atayde] made to make me feel comfortable. There’s a lot of firsts for us when we did those [love scenes],” he said.

“I don’t know if it’s too much info but I had to wear something that looked like a thong to make it seem seamless and I told Ria to not look at my butt. Then she said, ‘Don’t worry, you have a nice butt.’ Sige whatever, let’s just get this scene over with,” he continued, while laughing with Atayde.

The actor likewise confessed that his character Lucas is the “hardest role” he had to portray, saying that he’s “thankful” to directors FM Reyes and Benedict Mique for guiding him on set.

“I just know that this is the hardest role I have [ever played] and I’m so thankful that the directors are there to guide me kasi this is really challenging talaga for me and I think this is gonna be part of my growth,” he said. “It’s something that’s intriguing me everyday because I’m learning something new on set, myself, and about Lucas din. I’m grateful for this role and it’s challenging for me in a good way.”
