Joshua Garcia, Barbie Forteza exude chemistry, ‘kilig’ vibes after GMA Gala
After Joshua Garcia chose her as the GMA Gala’s “best-dressed” celebrity for him, an obviously flattered Barbie Forteza thanked the actor who, in turn, asked for a “tip” from the actress.
During an exclusive interview with GMA at the event held last July 22, Garcia was asked who among the celebrities at the gala would he choose if he were to give a “best-dressed” award. “Barbie,” he answered instantly.
“Nasa harapan ko siya kanina and sabi ko, ‘Ang ganda ng dress nito,'” he added, noting how Forteza’s gown was not too “flashy” but exuded elegance. (She was in front of me a while ago and I told myself, “Her dress is beautiful.”)
Forteza shared on her Twitter page a clip from the actor’s interview and agreed, “Tama ka naman diyan. Hahaha! Salamat!” (Well, you’re right. Thank you!)

In response, Garcia reposted Forteza’s tweet and quipped, “Pa-tip na lang po o pa-five star, salamat po!” with a winking face emoji. (Just give me a tip or a five-star [rating]. Thank you!)

Fans went wild over this exchange, with some pointing out that the actors have “chemistry” and others hoping for a collaborative project for the pair.
Garcia aside, Forteza is already dealing with a fan-based love team with David Licauco who she was paired with in the phenomenally successful TV series, “Maria Clara At Ibarra.” Forteza is in a relationship with another Kapuso actor, Jak Roberto.
Forteza, Roberto and Licauco each chose to walk the gala red carpet separately.
The GMA Gala 2023 saw the historic union of not only celebrities but also executives from the Kapuso network and ABS-CBN.
Aside from Garcia, other Kapamilya stars present at the event were “It’s Showtime” hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, Jhong Hilario and Vhong Navarro. EDV
