Karla Estrada wowed fans after she announced that at 48 years old, she finally earned a degree in office administration from Philippine Christian University.
The actress-TV host shared her academic achievement on her Instagram page last Saturday, July 22, showing her graduation photo along with the quote, “Develop a passion in learning, you will never cease to grow.”
“Thank you ETEEAP (Expanded Tertiary Equivalency and Accreditation Program) sa napakagandang pagkakataon na ito na maisakatuparan ang pangarap ng katulad ko at ng nakararami na makapagtapos ng kolehiyo!” she wrote.
(Thank you ETEEAP for this wonderful opportunity which allowed me to achieve my dream of graduating from college.)
“Congratulations sa lahat ng aking mga nakasabayan sa pagtatapos sa kursong (Congratulations to everyone who graduated with me with a degree in) Bachelor of Science in Office Administration,” she stated, adding the hashtags Philippine Christian University and “edukasyon para sa lahat” (education for all).
On her Instagram Stories, Estrada gave words of encouragement and reminded the public that “it’s never too late to learn.”
“If I can do it, you can do it! It’s possible,” she stated. “It’s never too late to learn and become what you always wanted to be.”
Estrada was showered with praises for her milestone by fans and fellow celebrities including Vina Morales, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Aiko Melendez and Ruffa Gutierrez.
Meanwhile, Estrada earlier revealed that she will be joining the training to become an army reservist. Estrada announced this through a video, which received backlash from netizens because it featured the song “Ang Bagong Hukbong Bayan,” the anthem of the New People’s Army (NPA).
Estrada immediately issued an apology, saying it was not her intention to use the left-wing group’s song as background music to her recent milestone. EDV
