LOOK: Celeste Cortesi signs contract with GMA’s Sparkle

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is officially a Kapuso as she signed a contract with Sparkle, the talent management arm of GMA Network.

The talent agency showed moments from the beauty queen’s contract-signing event, through its Instagram page on Thursday, July 20. GMA Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo and Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia were also in attendance at the contract signing.

“Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is the newest addition to the Sparkle family,” the caption read. “Here she is making it official during today’s contract signing.”

Cortesi also announced the milestone by sharing photos and videos from the event through her Instagram page.

“Happy and grateful to finally call GMA my home. Thank you very much [Annette Gozon-Valdes, Joy Marcelo and Tracy Garcia] for the trust and for welcoming me,” Cortesi wrote. “I’m excited for what’s to come. Proud to be Kapuso.”

Fans cheered for the beauty queen, with some urging the talent management to include Cortesi in the “Encantadia” cast. Netizens were apparently referring to the hit fantasy series’ upcoming spin-off, “Sang’gre.”

Cortesi marked her acting debut last February as she portrayed the role of the Queen of Marte on the final episode of “Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series.” At the time, the beauty queen hinted that her acting stint marked “new beginnings and new adventures.”  /ra
