Former child star Harlene Bautista couldn’t help but get emotional as she looked back at her favorite memories with Ricky Rivero, former teen star turned actor-filmmaker, who died last July 16.
Bautista took to her personal Instagram page to pay tribute to the late “That’s Entertainment” star, where she expressed how much she loves him.
“My dance partner, my favorite lifter, my Rick Astley. Magka-chat lang tayo mga two days ago. Iniisip ko kasi kung paano. Pahinga ka na. Alam mo yun na mahal kita at alam ko mahal mo kami nila Kuya (We just chatted around two days. I don’t know what happened. Rest now. You know how much I love you, and I know how much you love me and Kuya),” she said in the caption.
“Salamat sa pagkakaibigan at sa tawanang walang humpay (Thank you for the friendship and endless laughter). I love you,” she continued.
Meanwhile, actresses Jennifer Sevilla and Almira Muhlach said they were shocked upon hearing about Rivero’s death, as seen in the comments of Bautista’s post.

Rivero’s wake was held starting last Monday, July 17, at the Loyola Memorial Chapels in Quezon City, according to his partner on Facebook.
Details about his internment are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
Rivero, best known for his films “Eva Fonda” and “D’ Aswang Slayerz,” died at 51 last Sunday, July 16. The cause of his death has yet to be confirmed.
The actor-filmmaker was confined at the Philippine Heart Center last May after suffering from a stroke, prior to his death. EDV
