Vice Ganda spoke about his experience living in a house with a leaking roof, as he lamented the distress of those who have to endure such condition during this rainy season.
The “It’s Showtime” host appeared to have reflected on his experience due to the heavy rains brought by tropical storm Dodong, as seen on his Twitter page on Friday, July 14.
“Umuulan na naman. Kawawa na naman ang mga butas ang bubong,” he said. (It’s raining again. Those who have roof leaks will be in distress again.)
“I remember the days. Nagkalat ang mga nakaabang na palanggana at garapon sa bahay namin pang sapo ng tulo,” he then recalled. “Imverna ang madir.”
(I remember the days. Basins and glass jars were scattered inside our house to catch the raindrops from the roof leaks. My mother would be very anxious [every time that would happen].)

“Kapag umuulan may halong takot. Minsan ‘di pa makatulog dahil sa butas ng bubong at pagpasok ng tubig sa bahay,” one @AngelaRempillo tweeted. (Whenever it rains, there is fear in us. We can’t even sleep sometimes due to the roof leaks and the flood waters entering our house.)
“True yan, meme. Ultimo mga kaldero na pwedeng magamit pangsahod sa tulo ng ulan sa bahay. Sapalaran talaga but still, thankful pa rin dahil kahit paano may nasisilungan,” one @FalconLaila said. (That’s true, meme. We even use cooking pots to catch the raindrops leaking from the roof. It’s really a struggle but still, we’re thankful that we have a roof over our heads.)
“Habang binabasa ko ‘to, nagsasahod ako ng timba sa basang-basa na kisame,” Twitter user @ChellDion wrote. (While reading this, I am putting a bucket to catch the raindrops from our drenched ceiling.)
Dodong has brought heavy rains to a huge portion of Luzon since earlier this week. Dodong is anticipated to leave the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday morning or afternoon. /ra
