Liza Soberano warned a netizen to be careful with what they say to other people, after the latter wished for the actress to be a victim of rape or suffer from losing a family member.
Soberano responded to one @lizapokpok4ever who left a comment on the actress’ vlog about her stay in New York, uploaded on her YouTube channel last July 6.
The said netizen apparently wished for Soberano to experience unfortunate incidents as punishment for supposedly leaving actor Enrique Gil for her talent manager James Reid.
“Sana magahasa yang si Liza sa U.S. o kaya mamatay ‘yung sister niya o kaya daddy niya. Malandi e, iniwan si Quen para kay James,” the user’s comment read. (I wish Liza gets raped or her sister or dad will die, because she’s a flirt. She left [Enrique] for James.)
“[I] don’t normally reply to stuff like this. Just wanted to say, be careful with what you say and do to other people,” Soberano replied.
Nevertheless, Soberano received support and admiration from a lot of fans who commended her for being “genuine and authentic.”
Soberano, who signed a talent management contract with Reid’s Careless in June 2022, has been pursuing a career in Hollywood. The actress is set to star in the Hollywood film “Lisa Frankenstein” alongside Cole Sprouse and Jenna Davis, among others. /ra
