South Korean comedienne Lee Ji-soo has died at the age of 30, which brought shock to her colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Lee’s death was confirmed by Korean media outlet YTN on Wednesday, July 12, although the cause of her demise has yet to be disclosed.

Another Korean media outlet, MBC News, said her wake is currently being held at the Shinhwa Funeral Hall in Seoul, and is set to be buried the day after.

Lee made her debut in the 2021 comedy show “Comedy Big League,” before leaving the program two years later. She also built up her comedic chops at the theater of fellow comedian Yoon Hyung-bin, who’s best known for his appearance at the sketch show “Gag Concert.”

The up-and-coming comedienne also appeared in several shows including “Sniper of Taste,” “Skeleton,” and “My Business Journal” throughout her career. EDV
