“Magandang Buhay” host Jolina Magdangal had netizens reminiscing anew, as she shared a throwback photo with Piolo Pascual and “Ang TV” stars Kaye Abad and Paula Peralejo from 16 years ago.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the actress-singer who’s fond of uploading snaps from the past, shared a photo with Pascual, Abad, and Peralejo from a wedding in 2007.
Magdangal, in her post’s caption, addressed Pascual as “Tito P” — seemingly alluding to another throwback photo where the pair dressed up as Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III — and told him of another old photo of them together.
“Tito P!!!!!!! Nakakita ulit ako ng picture na kasama ka pero ito.. hindi work.. umattend tayo ng kasal. [emoji],” Magdangal said. (Tito P! I found another photo with you, but this one is not work-related. We attended a wedding.)
Magdangal also gave a shout-out to her “Ang TV” co-stars. “Hi sa magaganda kong katabi na si Kaye and Poleng (Hi to my beautiful seatmates, Kaye and Poleng!)!” Magdangal shared, adding how she can still recall what happened then, including the fact that her celebrity friends Rica Peralejo and Nikki Valdez were on the stage when their photo was taken.
She capped off her throwback post by reminding everyone that Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls” came out then.
In the comments section, Pascual would jokingly call out Magdangal for revealing when their throwback photo was taken. “Bakit kelangan [i]give away palagi ung taon (Why do you need to always give away the date)[?] [emoji] Best memories with everyone,” the award-winning actor wrote.
From the exchange among Abad, Valdez, and Magdangal, it can be assumed that the wedding they attended was Valdez’s with then husband Christopher Lina. When Abad asked if it was Valdez’s wedding, the latter, who remarried in 2018, would respond with “sinong Nikki? (Nikki who?) Hahahahahaha!”
Some fans noted how the four seemed to not age. One @kerwinregis commented, “Vampires ba kayo? (Are you vampires?) Forever young. [emoji]” Another user, on the other hand, shared that the younger Peralejo, Paula was their favorite in the Kapamilya youth-oriented series “Tabing Ilog,” which ran from 1999 to 2003.
Mother of one Paula, who has not been active in the entertainment industry for a long time, would sometimes make appearances in the vlogs of Rica. Abad, whose family of four is now based in Cebu, recently reunited with former off- and on-screen partner John Lloyd Cruz in the Kapuso series “Happy ToGetHer.”
Pascual is set to star in an upcoming horror movie, the Derick Cabrido-helmed “Mallari,” which will start filming in September. Magdangal, on Instagram, has recently been sharing about her experience being away from son Pele who flew with his father to the United States. EDV
