Willie Revillame brought excitement to “Wowowin” fans after the TV host released his new song “Babalik Ako,” which apparently teases his and the show’s comeback.
The music video begins with Revillame sitting alone inside an enclosed space while facing a glass window and looking at the view outside, as seen on the variety show’s Facebook page on Tuesday, July 4.
Before the song plays in the background, the sentences: “Namimiss ko na ang inyong mga hiyawan. Namimiss ko na ang inyong palakpakan. At namimiss ko na ang inyong mga yakap,” flash on the screen. (I miss your cheers, applause and your hugs.)
The music video also includes clips of Revillame’s interactions with contestants and the “Wowowin” audience, which were apparently from episodes aired before the pandemic. The video then ends with the words: “‘Wowowin’—Kayo ang bida dito. Abangan.” (You are the main character here. Soon.)
This elicited cheers from fans who were ecstatic for the upcoming return of Revillame and his show, via the comments section.
Revillame’s “Wowowin” previously aired on ALLTV, but the show took a break after the TV host reportedly resigned from the Manny Villar-owned network. Meanwhile, no further details on the variety show’s comeback have been disclosed as of this writing. /ra
