Julia Barretto and Aga Muhlach are set to star together in the upcoming film “Forgetting Canseco,” which will be helmed by filmmaker Denise O’Hara.
Barretto and Muhlach had a story conference with O’Hara on Tuesday, July 4, as seen on Viva Films’ Instagram page.
Based on the presentation, Barretto will be portraying the character of Jasmine Rodriguez who dreams of becoming part of a world-renowned choir. Muhlach will play the role of Michael Capistrano, who is the conductor of a local chorale in Baguio.
“Nakakakaba talaga… Going back to the story, this has always been a dream of mine,” Barretto said during the story conference. “Alam nila [mommy Marjorie] na dream project ko ito. So they’re really excited and happy that this is happening.”
“This is really, as an actor, a blessing—to be offered and be able to [experience working] with Julia,” Muhlach, for his part, said.
Further details on the upcoming film have yet to be disclosed as of this writing. /ra
