Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana was emotional as her daughter Callie Ahmee went back to Australia where she is completing her studies to become a licensed pilot.
On Instagram, Romana thanked her 19-year-old daughter for making time for their family despite her busy schedule in school. Romana’s family recently celebrated her youngest son Elio’s birthday and baptism, and prior to that, she celebrated her wedding anniversary with her husband of 20 years, Boyet Ahmee.
Callie, on the other hand, passed her first commercial pilot license exams in Australia last January.
“Thank you for making it home, Capt [emojis] in between solo flights and night flying in Australia [emojis]… still sweet though short. My heart longs to hold you everyday ate, but my love for you and the respect I have for your big dreams outweigh my pagka-miss of you. The house felt warmer. Somehow the light was brighter. The colors more vibrant. You completed us. Me. Thank you for making time for us,” said “The Iron Heart” actress.
Romana shared that Callie knew that she was “beyond tipping point of not seeing her,” but the actress is unable to see her daughter because of commitments at work and at home. “And she came through,” she said of her daughter, who she described as her anchor and compass. “[W]henever I lose my grip and way[,] I need her close to me.”
With Callie back in Australia, Romana shared that though she felt that her “heart may be aching the worst today, but my love grew deeper.”
“It is true when they say that no love is more powerful than the one you have set free yet still returns and makes its way back to you,” she said.
Romana also gushed over her “blooming” daughter and said that she had never seen her daughter grow more beautiful than now, as she gave a shout-out to a certain @carloslaurian, apparently referring to Callie’s boyfriend.
“The stars have definitely aligned for you ate and a quick thank you to the one who keeps that happy heart of yours fluttering. Hey chosen one, @carloslaurian thank you,” she said.
On her Instagram Stories, the actress also shared a note that Callie left them. “[B]ye bye! [S]ee you guys again soon. I love you,” it read. In another Story, she shared a video of dropping her daughter at the airport, and wrote, “Safe skies Capt @callieahmee [emojis]. [F]or a moment, mom’s heart was whole [heart emoji] [T]hank you for coming home.”
Last week, the “One More Chance” actress shared that Callie was able to return to the Philippines just in time for her youngest brother’s first birthday. She first flew to Australia last year to pursue a course that focuses on aviation management. EDV
