Luis Manzano once again drew laughs with his trademark humor after he sang his version of “A Whole New World” to his daughter Isabella Rose who, according to her mom Jessy Mendiola, appeared as if she was appealing for her dad to stop singing.
The actor-TV host showed himself singing while carrying Isabella Rose, also fondly called “Rosie” and “Peanut,” through a video on his Facebook page on Thursday, June 22.
“Sa vocal skills ko dito, kinuha ko yung songs sa (In my vocal skills here, I used the) key of F, using 3/4 baritone 1/4 vibrato,” he said in the caption. “Unlike conventional singers using the diaphragm, for this one I used the gallbladder. Enjoy.”
Aside from “A Whole New World,” Manzano also sang lines from “Laklak” and “Si Puti,” a song from the educational TV show “Batibot.”
Mendiola, who captured the video, then commented on Manzano’s post, “Tumitingin sakin [si Peanut], nanghihingi ng saklolo. Sabi niya ‘Mama, please make it stop.”” (Peanut was looking at me and asking for help. She said, “Mama, please make it stop.”)
Manzano also shared the said video on his Instagram page where his mom, veteran actress Vilma Santos, urged the TV host to stop singing.
“Anak, stop singing! Naiiyak na Peanut! Ang sad na ng face! (Peanut is about to cry! Her face already looks sad!)” Santos said via the comments section. “Love you Peanut!”
Fans likewise poked fun at Manzano and pointed out how Rosie seemed unimpressed by his voice.
Manzano and Mendiola got married in an intimate wedding in February 2021. The couple welcomed Rosie in December 2022, and had her baptized last April.
The couple is seemingly looking forward to having another addition to their family as they earlier joked about “making one more” baby. /ra
