Olivia Rodrigo set to drop new single ‘vampire’

Okay, you can stop feeling betrayed as “drivers license” singer Olivia Rodrigo is set to drop her new single “vampire” on June 30.

The Grammy Award winner made the announcement via Instagram, saying she is excited about her new single, in which the covert art showed her facing sidewards in almost black and white, with purple band-aids supposedly covering a bite mark.

“My new song vampire is out June 30th! You can presave now. So excited for this ahhhhh!!!!!!!” the Filipino-American singer said.

According to a press release—accessed through Universal Music Canada’s website—Rodrigo’s new single “is the sound of an artist firmly in control, imbued with a sense of maturity and a bold confidence.”

Aside from a digital release, “vampire” will also be available in limited edition CD and seven-inch vinyl record, with both also containing the first demo of the single.

For her upcoming single, the 20-year-old singer-songwriter once again collaborated with Daniel Nigro, who co-wrote and co-produced tracks for her debut album “SOUR,” which was released in 2021.

Aside from fans, fellow artists “Havana” singer Camila Cabello and The Kid LAROI also celebrated the news with the latter commenting, “FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!”

The singer had previously hinted at the single’s release, which succeeds her breakout debut album that nabbed her three trophies and four other nominations at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Prior to the release of “SOUR,” she starred in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” in which she played the role of Nini. EDV
