Music legend’s ‘unusual’ request
Cultural Gadfly (CG) thought she was going to be the life of the party when she recently attended an intimate gathering of longtime industry insiders.
To CG’s pleasant surprise, she told Rushes she had to take the backseat when Eager-to-please Provider (EP), a relative newcomer in CG’s social circle, started talking about her “memorable” close encounter with Music Legend (ML), who headlined a concert in the Philippines some years ago.
EP recalled that after a smooth soundcheck, she was introduced to ML—who quickly warmed up to EP’s chill and can-do vibe.
Of course EP was also overjoyed to talk to ML up close. But something very interesting happened when EP asked ML what else she could do to make his stay in Manila more comfortable.
ML then whispered in EP’s ear about his “usual” request: He wanted some weed! Who knew music wasn’t ML’s only “happy pill,” right?
