It’s been weeks since Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey’s marriage has been confirmed, and the entrepreneur believes that keeping their special day private was the “best decision” they ever made.
Jauncey took to his personal Instagram page on Monday, May 29, to express his gratitude to those who sent supportive messages after his wedding was revealed to the public.
Two months after their wedding, Wurtzbach announced on Instagram last May 5 that she wed the businessman at an intimate ceremony in Seychelles.
“Love, support and happiness is all we’ve received since we shared our wedding news- so thank you to all the friends, family and people we haven’t met yet that have been so kind,” he said.
The businessman also revealed that his wedding with the former beauty queen was meant for them to be “present for the moment.”
“We did things differently, just for us, away from stress so we could relax and be present for the moment. Two months into married life and we’re sure it was the best decision we ever made,” he added.
In a separate post, Jauncey also shared that he and Wurtzbach had a relaxing post-wedding moment as they listened to their favorite songs and brainstormed some videos regarding their ceremony.
“The day after our wedding we went back to the beach. We got married [with] a speaker, a bottle of champagne and a plan to watch our first sunset as a married couple. We listened to our [favorite] songs, brainstormed our wedding videos and relaxed as the tide came in and the sun dipped below the horizon,” he said.
“What we forgot was that this beach @live.north gets cut off from the rest of the island when the tide comes in. A huge wave hit the beach, soaking us, sweeping away our stuff and reminding us we only had a few minutes to get back home or we’d be sleeping with the sand flies and crabs. We couldn’t have planned it better if we tried,” he added.
The couple announced their engagement in May 2023, more than two years after confirming their relationship in a cover story of a luxury magazine. /ra
