Moira Dela Torre ‘disheartened’ over professional integrity, cheating allegations: ‘The trauma still lingers in my heart’
Moira Dela Torre has spoken up about the allegations made against her by songwriter Lolito Go, who had accused the singer of hiring a ghostwriter and being unfaithful to her estranged husband, “Ikaw Pa Rin” singer Jason Hernandez.
In an official statement, Dela Torre expressed her dismay over such situation where she has to “defend my decision to leave a marriage” and prove her “worth” as a singer-songwriter.
“I never imagined that I would find myself in a situation where I have to explain and defend my decision to leave a marriage, as well as justify the state of my mental health,” she began. “It is truly disheartening that I am being questioned and asked to prove my worth as a songwriter and artist. However, despite the overwhelming circumstances, I feel a strong inner calling to stand up for myself and protect my integrity.”
The “Paubaya” hitmaker stressed that she “never employed a ghostwriter,” as her music is meant to be a “true reflection of my deepest emotions and experiences,” adding that she’s “fully prepared to provide evidence” to support her statement.
“I want to set things straight once and for all. Let me be clear: I have never employed a ghostwriter. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with immensely talented artists who treat each other with respect and acknowledge the contributions we all bring to the table,” she said.

I am fully prepared to provide evidence that supports this truth, including screenshots of conversations and recordings of my songs, which will undoubtedly validate and disprove the harmful accusations made against me,” she continued.

It can be recalled that the songwriter accused the “Tagpuan” singer of allegedly cheating on Hernandez, pointing out that the latter “wanted out” because she was able to find a replacement.
“I did not cheat on Jason [Hernandez]. It is unfair that I find myself in a position where I have to defend my name and even explain why I did not deserve to be cheated on,” she added.

At the moment, the singer is focused on the “path towards healing” as she admitted that the “weight of trauma” still affects her, saying that the well-being of herself and her loved ones matter most.
“Currently, my focus is on the path towards healing, as the weight of trauma still lingers heavily in my heart. This process is not only essential for my own well-being but also for the well-being of those dear to me who have unwaveringly stood by my side throughout these challenging times—my loving family, my dedicated band, my friends, who have all been my source of emotional support. Their presence has been my anchor, grounding me during these turbulent moments,” she said.
“I hold onto hope that, one day, when the dust settles and clarity is restored, I will have the capacity to embrace a love that is faithful and genuine,” she further said.
Dela Torre also maintained that she is firmly committed to the knowledge that she is an artist who will “emerge stronger” after the “challenges.”
“I take solace in the knowledge that I am Moira—an artist—who will bravely navigate these challenges and emerge stronger than ever,” she said.
The singer’s statement comes days after showbiz lawyer Joji Villanueva Alonso announced that she had advised a certain client to “focus on the more important issue,” as they appeared to be pressing charges against a “maligner” who was allegedly spreading lies about her client.
On the other hand, Hernandez has yet to issue a statement about the controversies, as of this writing. /ra
