Catriona Gray, Nicole Cordoves re-create Cher, Raquel Welch’s ‘I’m a Woman’ performance

Catriona Gray and Nicole Cordoves looked stunning as they dressed up as Cher and Raquel Welch, respectively, and lip-synched the Hollywood stars’ 1975 version of “I’m a Woman.”
The beauty queens, who will be hosting this year’s Binibining Pilipinas coronation night, made the photoshoot as tribute to fellow women, as per Gray’s Instagram page on Friday, May 26.
“Dedicated to all the capable, strong women going after their dreams this weekend on the Bb. Pilipinas 2023 stage, as well as to ALL women who refuse to cease in their pursuit of their dreams,” the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder said. “We had so much fun shooting this! Inspired of course by global icons Cher and Raquel Welch.”

Cordoves, for her part, credited the women who were part of her journey and who served as her inspiration to become the person she is now.
“I’M A WOMAN because of all the strong women who came before me, all the empowered women who inspire me. May we become the woman who helps the next one become the best they can be,” the Miss Grand International 2016 wrote. “And to everyone who has rooted for every woman who set foot on the [Bb. Pilipinas] stage, maraming salamat. This one’s for you.”

The beauty queens also expressed their gratitude to the team behind the photoshoot, which includes celebrity photographer BJ Pascual and makeup artist Jelly Eugenio.

The Binibining Pilipinas coronation night will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, May 28. Aside from Gray and Cordoves, Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa will also serve as a co-host at the event. /ra
