Barbie Forteza and David Licauco have jetted off to South Korea to film some scenes for their upcoming romantic-comedy film “That Kind of Love.”
Forteza and Licauco’s flight to South Korea was confirmed by their talent agency Sparkle GMA Artist Center on its official Instagram page on Sunday, May 21.
“Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza is now on her way to Korea to shoot for the upcoming romantic-comedy film ‘That Kind of Love,’ under Pocket Media Productions,” Sparkle GMA’s caption read, as it showed the actress donning an all-neutral outfit to the airport.
Meanwhile, Licauco also appeared excited to film the movie, as seen in a separate post on Sparkle GMA’s Instagram.
“Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco is also now headed to the land of K-dramas to shoot for the upcoming romantic-comedy film ‘That Kind of Love,’ under Pocket Media Productions,” its caption read.
The Kapuso stars’ flight to South Korea was confirmed in a report by GMA-7’s 24 Oras last Thursday, May 18, where Licauco expressed his excitement about their upcoming film.
“Super excited of course. Siyempre, it’s with Barbie and such a pleasure to work with her. I’m really excited [about] that,” the actor said in the report.
It was also reported that the onscreen tandem will star in an upcoming GMA teleserye, although details are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
“That Kind of Love” is the “BarDa” loveteam’s first film after their successful team-up in the historical fantasy drama “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” where Forteza starred as Klay Infantes while Licauco took on the role of Fidel Reyes y Maglipol.
The Cathy Camarillo-helmed movie will be produced by Pocket Media Productions. Details about its plot and premiere date are yet to be revealed, although it was reported in April 2023 that Forteza will star as a matchmaker. EDV
