MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines recorded podium finishes in the inaugural edition of the Miss and Mister Fitness Supermodel World held in Vietnam.

Michael Angelo Toledo was proclaimed third runner-up in the men’s competition, while Kristel Galang was hailed the second runner-up in the women’s contest.

Twenty-two men and 17 women took part in the twin tilts held in the coastal city of Phan Thiet, in the province of Binh Thuan, on May 20.

Natalija Miserda from Croatia captured the women’s crown, while Vietnamese-American Hansel Tran from the United States won the men’s title.

Joining Miserda and Galang in the women’s winning circle were host delegate Le Thi Diem My who finished second, and Anh Pham from Canada and Mariame Sylla from Guinea who were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

In the men’s contest, Harshit Arora from India finished second, while Kevin Mruskovic from Slovakia placed third. Yi Fang Gao from Canada rounded up the Top 5 as fourth runner-up.

The Filipino pair was fielded by Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPS) Foundation Inc., with Jhune Salud as national director.

Toledo was one of the titleholders in the ninth Misters of Filipinas pageant organized by PEPPS in October last year, while Galang is an event host and actress under the foundation’s management. EDV
