LOOK: Maris Racal fangirls with Rico Blanco at Red Velvet’s ‘R to V’ concert

Maris Racal was one of the lucky fans who had the opportunity to witness Red Velvet’s concert in Pasay City on May 7, where she was even accompanied by her supportive boyfriend, singer-songwriter Rico Blanco.
Red Velvet is a five-member group consisting of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and Yeri.
During the concert held at the Mall of Asia Arena, Racal was over the moon seeing the K-pop girl group’s “R to V” in action, while Blanco, too, appeared to be enjoying himself throughout the show, as seen in a series of posts on the singer-actress’ Instagram account on Monday, May 8.
The “Ate Sandali” singer’s post included photos and videos of herself, where she was seen screaming for Irene and Wendy while performing “My Dear” and jamming to “Russian Roulette” and “Zimzalabim.”
“I had so much fun last night [teary-eyed emoji] Red Velvet, mahal ko kayo (I love you all),” she captioned her post.

The singer-actress also cheered for Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, and Yeri during the sold-out concert, as seen in her Instagram Stories. She also expressed her support for Joy who was temporarily absent from group activities due to health concerns.

Racal then expressed gratitude to Blanco who seemingly enjoyed the girl group’s show in a separate Instagram Story.
“Thanks for coming [with] me, my Bummy. PS Hindi kita ininvite para lang may magpicture saakin promise (I didn’t invite you just to take photos of me, I promise),” she wrote, while sharing a black-and-white snap of herself looking at Blanco with a smile.

The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum also revealed to one @mirandarenn on Instagram that Blanco became a fan of Seulgi after the show. “After ng concert super humanga siya kay seulgi (After the concert, he admired Seulgi a lot),” she said.

The singer-actress also fangirled over the “Bad Boy” hitmakers in her personal Twitter account, where she was seen expressing her support for Wendy and Irene.

Arcy Dandan, a longtime fan of Red Velvet, shared that she was seated next to the celebrity couple during the concert, when she saw the actress sing and jump along to the girl group’s songs.
“Super fangirl po [siya] talaga at super nag-enjoy sa con. As in nakikitalon, kanta and sayaw. Tapos po nung lumapit po sa side namin sila Wendy at Irene, kilig na kilig po sya. Like sinabi nya po sa amin na sila po ung bias [niya],” Dandan told INQUIRER.net.

The fan also praised the singer-actress for being kind and approachable to fellow fans, where the latter even helped one in picking up their jacket during the show.
“Siya pa po ung kumuha at nagbigay nung nalaglag na jacket ng friend ko. Sobrang saya po na-experience talaga kasi fangirl na fangirl po si Maris [Racal],” she said. “Nakikisabay [din] po sya sa fan projects, sinabihan nya pa po si Rico [Blanco] na i-angat [‘yung] banner.”
Racal is known for being a huge fan of Red Velvet, where she shared in a May 2022 vlog that she enjoyed listening to the group’s songs.
Red Velvet, which debuted as a four-piece in August 2014, is known for their hit songs “Zimzalabim,” “Psycho,” and “Bad Boy,” among many others. EDV
