Vice Ganda’s former classmate apologizes for ‘bullying’ him in college
Teddy Amor, a gym instructor who introduced himself as the classmate of Vice Ganda in college, has apologized to the comedian, saying he was rejected because a former crush had feelings for the latter.
The gym instructor made the apology to the “Praybeyt Benjamin” star during the “Isip Bata” segment of the afternoon show “It’s Showtime,” which was uploaded on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, April 25. However, Vice Ganda was not present during his apology.
“Hoy, Viceral. Baka maalala mo,” he began, as he referred to the actor-comedian using his surname. Vice Ganda was born as Jose Marie Borja Viceral, and they used to be classmates in Far Eastern University. (Hey, Viceral. You might remember.)
Amor then said sorry to the comedian for “bullying” him back then, as he clarified that he did not physically hurt Vice.
“Humihingi ako ng sorry. Humihingi lang ako ng sorry kay Vice. Kasi that time, may kaibigan siyang gusto kong ligawan na type ko. Lagi niya akong inaayawan dahil kay Vice so ang ginagawa namin, tatlo kaming lalaki, binu-bully namin siya,” he said. “Pero ‘yung bullying naman noon ay pang-aasar lang.”

She kept on rejecting me because of Vice, so me and my two other male friends would bully him. But the bullying back then was more of picking on him.)

“Actually po, tatlo silang nangunguna sa amin: dalawang babae, tsaka siya. Nangunguna sa room. Nage-excel siya sa amin sa room, nage-excel sila, tatlo sila lagi pati sa exams at quizzes namin. Matalino [talaga sila],” he said.
(It is always the three of them who are at the top of the class: two girls, then him. They are always at the top. They excel in our exams and quizzes. They are really smart.)
Following Amor’s confession, show host Jhong Hilario then reminded the audience to stop bullying, to which Amy Perez seconded.
The actor-comedian revealed in a 2008 interview with the late Ricky Lo that he took up Political Science at Far Eastern University but was unable to finish his studies due to his fledgling entertainment career.
Apart from his hosting stint in “It’s Showtime,” Vice Ganda is best known for appearing in several shows and films including “Partners in Crime,” “Fantastica,” “Praybeyt Benjamin,” and “The Mall, The Merrier,” among many others. He also made a name as a singer through the hit singles “Whoops Kirri,” “KaraKaraka,” and “Boom Panes.” EDV
