How Buhawi Meneses became a book lover

/ 08:05 PM July 07, 2011

“This turned me into a book lover—‘The Extraordinary and Tragic Life of Jaco Pastorious,’ by Bill Milowski. I read it and discovered the roots of jazz. It affected my life greatly because I’m also a musician, a bassist (for Parokya ni Edgar). Studying Jaco’s life, how tragic it was, keeps me grounded. Jaco was killed by a pub bouncer. He was a really good man, but easily influenced by people who gave him drugs. He’s my idol, I try to emulate his good qualities.” Marinel R. Cruz
