Mark Leviste greets Bimby Aquino on his 16th birthday: ‘It’s been a joy watching you grow up’

Kris Aquino’s youngest son, Bimby, recently turned 16 and one of those who greeted him on his birthday was Batangas Vice Gov. Mark Leviste, his mom’s “best male friend.”
Leviste showed himself close to Bimby and Kris while posing for a photo, through the politician’s Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 19. The photo appears to have been taken during one of his visits to the Queen of All Media in the US.
“Happy sweet 16, Bimb!” Leviste wrote. “From a wonderful baby to an amazing young man you have turned out to be…It’s been a joy watching you grow up. Keep it up!”

Bimby also received birthday greetings from some of his mom’s close friends in the showbiz industry, including her former “Kris TV” sidekick Darla Sauler, as well as Dindo Balares.
“Happy Birthday my dearest Bimby! So proud of you Bimb, for taking good care of your Mama [Kris], for being so brave, sweet and thoughtful always,” Sauler said through an Instagram post. “I’ll see you soon! I love love love you!”

“‘Di lang napakabait na anak at maalaga sa Mama at Kuya, napakatalino, level-headed, at thoughtful pa! Habang tumatagal, lalong nadadagdagan ang paghanga ko sa iyo,” Balares, for his part, said. “16 years old ka na! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BIMB!”

Kris and Bimby, her son with former husband James Yap, are both currently in California for the Queen of All Media’s treatments for her several autoimmune conditions. Josh, Kris’ eldest child, was with them when they flew to the United States last year, but he has already returned to the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Kris earlier reminded Leviste that although he has been a “blessing” for her in her medical journey, he should dedicate his efforts to serving his constituents. She also noted in her message to Leviste that public service is a privilege that is “more important than any friendship or romantic relationship.” /ra
