MANILA, Philippines — Vienne Shirin Feucht became P150,000 richer after bagging the Miss Rotary crown at the culmination of the pageant’s inaugural edition staged at the Globe Auditorium of the Maybank Performing Arts Theater at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City on April 16.

She edged out 17 other aspirants from different Rotary Clubs of District 3830 for the title. She represented the Rotary Club of Makati Dasmariñas. Feucht also received the important Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown awards earlier in the competition. She was first runner up in the 2021 Miss Bikini Philippines pageant.

During the final round of the competition, Feucht said she will discuss her personal advocacy if given the chance to speak with Rotary International Pres. Jennifer Jones, the first woman to assume the position. She promotes awareness on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) citing the number of women suffering from it, including herself.

The Rotary Clubs in Makati City dominated the competition. First runner-up was Shaira Marie Rona who represented the Rotary Club of Makati, while second runner-up was Sierra Mhay Manalo who represented the Rotary Club of Makati Business District.

Rona is another pageant veteran who has seen action on the Binibining Pilipinas stage. She received P75,000 for finishing second, and was also proclaimed “Miss Public Image” earlier in the program for upholding the ideals of Rotary International. Manalo received P50,000 for finishing third in the competition.

More familiar faces joined the competition. Finishing in the Top 10 were 2022 Miss Aura Philippines second runner-up and reigning Bb. Kanlahi Vera Dickinson who represented the Rotary Club of Makati, and 2019 Miss Scuba Philippines Liz Mabao who represented the Rotary Club of Makati Northeast, and advanced to the semifinals by securing the most votes for the “People’s Choice” award.

Also in the competition were 2023 Miss Supermodel Philippines fourth runner up Florian Jerick Lajara who represented the Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio-Global City, 2021 Miss World Philippines Second Princess Janelle Lewis who represented the Rotary Club of Makati Circle of Friends, and 2019 Face of Tourism Philippines alumna Joana Marie Rellosa who represented the Rotary Clubs of Metro Pateros, Makati EDSA, Parañaque Metro South, and Muntinlupa Business District.

Rotary International District 3830 Gov. Mildred Vitangcol said the pageant was mounted to further highlight the organization’s thrust of promoting education and providing access to services, facilities, and tools to children in far-flung areas. They aim to build 100 classrooms to serve schoolchildren in poor communities. EDV
