Singer Gigi de Lana defended herself from bashers who criticized her revealing stage outfits during a recent concert.

De Lana took to her personal Facebook page on Wednesday, April 12, to respond to critics who expressed their dismay over her belly-baring concert outfits, which also included a two-piece bikini top.

“Ang lilinis niyo ah? Ano pa gusto niyo sabihin,” she began.

(You think that you’re all clean? What do you want to say to me? Just because I’m wearing a swimsuit, I’m already a bold star? I even covered up in the bottom. Just because I had a tattoo, I’m dirty? You even call my performances wild? You’re amazing in giving criticisms, but when I respond to your negative comments, you get angry.)

The singer then called out her critics for being “hypocrites,” and requested them to take accountability for their negative comments on social media.

“Wag nga kayong mapagkunwari [or] ‘hypocrite.’ Wag kayo mag malinis. Wag kayo hugas kamay,” she said.

(Don’t be hypocritical. But when you see someone perform in revealing outfits at a performance, you’re happy. Let’s put it this way, when you see someone in a porn, your hands are not the only thing that are clapping, right? Don’t act clean. Don’t wash your hands off of this.)

In the comments, De Lana also clarified that she was not angry at all, but that she will not stand down to bullying, adding that netizens should be careful in expressing their sentiments to the public.

Ako mismo ang lalaban,” she said. (They can’t act that way, especially to those who can’t handle negative comments. Their words might lead to someone getting depressed, or worse. I was bullied and I wouldn’t allow them to be like that to others. I will fight for them.)

“Mahal ko kayo mga supporters namin. Kaya salamat. Pero share niyo ‘to. I want to spread awareness lalo na sa mga bullies. Yes, need masanay. Pero I will never tolerate such [an] attitude,” she further added. (I love all of my supporters, so thank you. But please share this. I want to spread awareness, especially to the bullies. They have to get used to it. I will never tolerate such an attitude.
