When exhaustion gets the better of witty celeb
Smart Storyteller (WS) is known for his wit and humor. When he was just starting out, he struck gold with viewers when he turned a horror project on its head and made it as funny as it is scary.
And when he faces the movie press, WS always impresses with his eloquent answers and sensible views.
However, in a recent virtual interview to promote his latest project, WS wasn’t as prepared as he always is because he just finished an exhausting work week. Just the same, when the writers’ questions came one after the other, WS thought he could wing it. But he was wrong.
Just as the roundtable interview was wrapping up, a veteran writer asked WS a question that wasn’t as generic as those that came before it. WS looked confounded by the question and rambled aimlessly and incoherently.
When the moderator asked the attending reporters to leave the chatroom, it took the junket team some time to turn off the participants’ cameras. But WS didn’t realize that the writers could still hear him, so everyone learned about how embarrassed WS was over his gaffe.
WS looked at his handler off camera and said, “That last answer was just a bunch of garbled nonsense!” Some of the writers could be seen laughing.
Well, as they say, nobody’s perfect. Oops.
