Marcelito Pomoy undergoes medical procedure for kidney stones

Marcelito Pomoy was overwhelmed by love from those who sent their well-wishes to him after he underwent shock wave lithotripsy, a medical procedure that breaks down kidney stones using shock waves.

The singer showed himself surrounded by medical apparatus and medical staff in what appears to be a hospital, through his Facebook page last Tuesday, April 4.

In a succeeding post, Pomoy disclosed that he suffers from kidney stones which he hopes to be removed after undergoing the said procedure.

“Overwhelmed! I feel loved and blessed to have all of you who truly cares,” he said. “Thank you for all those concerned messages po. I am fine po.

“Undergone shockwave treatment due to my kidney stones that are now bothering me. Hoping that this be removed through urinating so that I won’t have to do another procedure,” he added. “Thank you so so much to all of you. Thank you for the love. Love you all!”

Fans of the singer extended their prayers for his successful treatment through the comments section.

Pomoy, known for singing in both male and female voices, was the grand winner of the second season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2011. He also competed in “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” in 2019, where he emerged as the third runner-up.  /ra
