Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Joshua Garcia and Zanjoe Marudo recently visited the Philippine Consulate General in Milan and vowed to use their influence to inspire fellow Filipinos “to work together for the good of the country and the people.”
The actors, alongside fellow celebrities Ria Atayde and Eric Nicolas, met with Consul General Elmer Cato, who shared photos from their meeting through his Facebook page on Thursday, March 16. The actors had flown to Milan for their “G! Kapamilya” tour.
“Over coffee and bibingka, we shared with them the work of the Consulate and how we are addressing the concerns of the Filipino Community in Northern Italy,” Cato said in the caption. “We also discussed with them our efforts to promote unity and bayanihan among our kababayan and in raising the profile of the Philippines and the Filipino people in our part of Italy.”
Cato then referred to Bernardo, Padilla and Garcia as some of the “most influential personalities in the Philippines,” noting how the couple were even awarded for being among the top celebrity taxpayers in the country for 2022.
“Before leaving, we asked them one thing: to use their popularity and influence to inspire our kababayan in the Philippines and in other parts of the world to work together for the good of our country and our people,” he concluded. “We got that assurance.”
Meanwhile, Bernardo treated fans to more moments from their Milan trip through a series of posts on her Instagram page.
Bernardo, Padilla, Garcia and Marudo appeared to have already flown to U.A.E for their “G! Kapamilya” show in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, March 18. /ra
