WATCH: Vice Ganda, Ion Perez introduce new ‘baby,’ a pet dog

Vice Ganda and Ion Perez welcomed a new addition to their family, a black-and-white Pomeranian dog, which they bought for P380,000.
The celebrity couple revealed they had been wanting and planning to have a “baby,” through a vlog on their YouTube channel on Wednesday, March 15.
“We have been talking about this for quite some time now and we are very excited,” Vice Ganda said. “We have been preparing for this. We want to share with you our plan to have a baby.”
“Gusto naming magka-baby para lalong sumaya ‘yung bahay namin, para may mapagshare-an din kami ng saya tapos merong magpapasaya sa aming bago,” he continued. “‘Pag maraming masaya, mas maganda ang mundo.”
(We want to have a baby to make our home happier and to have someone with whom we can share our happiness, and also someone who can make us happy. The world becomes a more beautiful place when a lot of people are happy.)
Perez, for his part, said he wanted to have a “baby” so that the comedian would still have company whenever Perez is not around.
“Dadagdagan namin ng member ang family namin para lumaki-laki naman ang pamilya namin kasi dalawa lang kami,” Vice Ganda further stated. (We will add a member to our family to make it bigger because at the moment, it is only the two of us.)
The couple then went to a pet shop in Taguig where they chose from numerous breeds of dogs and cats. A five-month Pomeranian dog then caught their attention after it wiggled and appeared to be excited upon seeing the couple.
Vice Ganda and Perez checked several other dogs but eventually decided to keep the black-and-white Pomeranian. The couple also shopped for treats and bought a bed which cost P16,000.
The couple have yet to disclose the name of their dog, but they said they will reveal it after they have their pet baptized.
Vice Ganda and Perez confirmed their relationship to the public in 2019, then got engaged in 2020. They had a wedding commitment ceremony in Las Vegas in October 2021.
Earlier this year, Vice Ganda opened up about his plans of having a kid through surrogacy, revealing he already did his research about it in the United States. He said he’s open to doing such but that he does not have the “luxury of time” at the moment to pursue it. /ra
