Vice Ganda revealed that she was one of the top celebrity taxpayers of 2022 who was supposed to receive recognition from the Bureau of Internal Revenue last week, but failed to attend the ceremony.

The “It’s Showtime” host made the clarification after a fan asked why he was seemingly excluded by the BIR from its roster of celebrity taxpayers who were given recognition for paying their correct taxes.

“I am actually shocked [that[ Vice Ganda was not included [as] top taxpayers,” one @clarajustafan said on Twitter on Friday, March 10.

“[For your information], yung nasa news po ay mga top tax payers ng RDO (RegionalDistrictOffice) 39. I am one of the Top Tax Payers of RDO 38. I was invited sa ceremony nung Feb 27 pero di po ako naka attend,” the comedian said.

(For your information, what was reported in the news are the taxpayers under BIR’s [Regional District Office] 39. I am one of the top tax payers of [Regional District Office] 38. I was invited to a ceremony last February 27 but I was able to attend.)

It can be recalled that RDO 38’s can be found in North Quezon City while RDO 39’s agency is located in South Quezon City.

ABS-CBN stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla led a group of celebrities who were awarded by the BIR during a ceremony held at a mall in Quezon City on Wednesday.

Other top celebrity taxpayers cited by the bureau were Coo Martin, Liza Soberano, Michael V, Vic Sotto, Sarah Geronimo, Willie Revillame, Judy Ann Santos, Anne Curtis, Maja Salvador, Mel Tiangco, Mike Enriquez, and Jessica Soho. EDV
