Rhian Ramos responded to netizens who bombarded her with accusations that she used a fake Hermes bag in a recent event, clarifying that her bag was not from the said luxury brand but from another fashion brand.
Ramos attended a launching event for a cosmetics company donning a neutral body-fitting dress, stiletto heels and a leather handbag that has a similar shape and clasp to the French fashion house’s’ Birkin, as seen in her Instagram post last Wednesday, March 1.
One @thefakebirkinslayer, an Instagram account apparently exposing owners of fake bags claimed to be from the said luxury brand, then shared on its page a photo of Ramos from the event, adding eyes emoji. This seemingly led netizens to question the authenticity of the actress’ bag via her post’s comments section.
The actress then addressed these questions, saying that the bag was from an Italian brand and was gifted to her by a local retailer shop. She also replied to one @imeloh who seemingly expressed doubt on the actress’ response, but later took down the comment.
“No, I’m pretty sure I don’t magically have the only existing mini Kelly (?) Birkin (?) in white/gray python. It’s a [Buti Italia] bag, gifted, and apologies to whoever this offends, but I liked the color with beige, or camel, or caramel, or whatever you wanna call the color I’m wearing,” Ramos stressed. “May your t*tties be calmed.”
Other netizens left comments in support of Ramos, lamenting how some would just chime in on the matter to “spread negativity.”
Meanwhile, Ramos received compliments on her look from fellow celebrities Max Collins, Kim Atienza and Janina Manipol. /ra
