Vilma Santos says ‘Baby Peanut’ has makings of a celebrity: ‘You can tell, artista ‘to’
Veteran actress Vilma Santos on Wednesday cant help but gush over her first grandchild, “Baby Peanut,” saying the two-month-old has the makings of a celebrity, just like her parents and grandparents.
“Baby Peanut” or “Rosie” is Isabella Rose Manzano, daughter of Santos’ son, Luis Manzano and his wife actress Jessy Mendiola. Manzano’s father is Edu Manzano, also an actor. Santos is married to former senator, now Batangas Rep. Ralph Recto.
Interviewed on the sidelines of her launch as celebrity ambassador of a motorcycle-hailing app, Santos said that even this early, “Baby Peanut” already knows how to project herself, such that she has a feeling that her granddaughter will also get into show business when she’s grown up a little.
“Maarte siya. Sa posing niya, you can tell, artista ‘to. She’s very pretty. I’m so excited. I’m really looking forward when she grows bigger,” the Star For All Seasons said.
Santos further said she is looking forward to the day when “Baby Peanut” is finally able to call her “Momsie,” as what her sons Luis, and his stepbrother Ryan, as well as their cousins call her.

She also claimed that all her followers and fans have been waiting for her “collab” with her granddaughter.
“Ipinakita ko na actually (si Baby Peanut). Matagal kong hinintay ito na magkaapo. Heaven ang feeling! She is just two months, so she is yet to call me Momsie, like what my pamangkins call me,” the movie icon said.
“I am looking forward [to] when she probably turns seven months or one year old when you see that she’s kerengkeng na. I will enjoy her more,” she added.
“Baby Peanut” was born December 28 last year, and first saw her grandmother the next day as her first visitor, whose real name was Rosa Vilma, and from which “Rosie” got her name. EDV
