Beauty queen Samantha Bernardo is set to say “I do” to the love of her life, as she announced her engagement to non-showbiz boyfriend Scott Moore.

The Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up took to her personal Instagram page on Monday, Feb. 20, to announce the news to fans, as she shared a video of herself posing with what appeared to be a round-cut engagement ring.

“Turn the page. [ring emoji] Start a new chapter [infinity emoji],” she said in the caption.

Bernardo appeared to have been engaged to Moore for quite some time, as the former shared glimpses of their intimate moment on Instagram last Feb. 15.

“[M]y ride or die and forever valentine. [emojis] we’re officially engaged, [I] can’t believe [it],” she wrote, as she accompanied the post with photos of their engagement.

Fellow beauty queens Katrina Dimaranan, Megan Young, Vickie Rushton, Fabiola Valentin, and Karen Gallman, as well as volleyball player Alyssa Valdez and actor KD Estrada congratulated the couple on their engagement, as seen in the comments.

It’s unclear when Bernardo and Moore’s romance began, but photos of their lowkey relationship surfaced on social media in December 2020.

The beauty queen was appointed to represent the Philippines in the Miss Grand International 2020 pageant, where she finished as first runner-up. She was also named the second runner-up in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant in 2018 and 2019, and was included in the Top 13 at the Miss World Philippines 2013.

She was also part of the final five housemates at the 10th season of “Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity”, where she eventually finished in third place.

Bernardo’s engagement brings to four the number of beauty queens who have accepted marriage proposals in the past few months.
