BTS’ RM spotted with neck bruise during livestream, but fans claim it was ‘hickey’
RM, the leader of K-pop global sensation BTS, caught the attention of fans on social media after he was spotted with a mysterious blemish on his neck during a recent livestream.
The Korean star’s neck bruise was pointed out by some fans after he went on a livestream on fan platform Weverse on Thursday, Feb. 16. However, during the video, some netizens pointed out that the K-pop idol’s blemish was a “hickey,” as seen in a video uploaded by fan account @luvmeyoongs on Twitter.
As pointed out by the fan account, RM seems to have noticed the “hickey”-related comments then covered his neck with the collar of his jacket as a response.
“The moment he realized but y’all remember if it is a hickey,” their tweet read. “Don’t hate on [J]oon, he’s a grown man.”

However, the BTS member appeared to have brushed aside the comments during the live stream, as noted by fan account @7btskook on Twitter, saying he was injured after a high-intensity workout session.
“I got a little bit hurt, trying to do some things like CrossFit,” RM said.

Following the livestream, many fans took to social media to share their thoughts about RM’s neck bruise, with others pointing out that the K-pop idol is a “grown man”.
Twitter user @MulengaNicole noted that the members of BTS “are getting laid.”
Not the fandom throwing a fit that RM had a hickey… y’all really think those GROWN ASS MEN aren’t getting laid???

One @chochojoon stressed that the personal lives of the seven-member group are “none of our business.”
“Really wish this fandom could treat the hickeys the same way we all treated [Jimin’s] tattoos for years,” they said. “Do we all suspect differently? Of course. Do we acknowledge that as long as he doesn’t? NO BC IT’S PERSONAL AND NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. He said what he said and that’s the story”
