Seven years since she was crowned, Pia Wurtzbach expressed her gratitude to supporters who still engage with her viral tweet where she manifested to winning the Miss Universe crown in 2015.

Wurtzbach declared that she will be crowned as Miss Universe in May 2015, shortly after Manny Pacquiao was defeated by Floyd Mayweather Jr. via unanimous decision at their “Fight of the Century” boxing superfight.

This tweet would eventually turn propitious as the Filipino-German stunner was eventually crowned Miss Universe 2015, ending the Philippines’ 42-year drought for the title. Her coronation is arguably one of the most popular moments in pageant history after host Steve Harvey initially announced Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia as the winner.

Minutes after Gutierrez’s coronation, Harvey apologized for the blunder and stated that Wurtzbach was the rightful Miss Universe 2015.

Fast forward to January 27, Friday, Wurtzbach recalled her once-in-a-lifetime experience, as she thanked her fans for interacting with her now-viral tweet on Friday, Jan. 27.

“Midnight thoughts… I still get kilig (giddy) when you guys engage with my ‘Ako bahala. Babawi tayo sa Miss Universe’ tweet from 2015. Thank you for believing in me,” she said on Twitter.

In a follow-up tweet, the beauty queen encouraged her supporters to “trust your heart” especially if “something is meant for you.”

“Just a pahabol (follow-up) to this, if there’s anything I want you to learn from this – it’s that if something is meant for you, as long as you put in the work, nothing can stop you. Muntik pa nga ako ma-draw ‘di ba (I almost had to share my crown, right)? But we did it. YOU can do it. Trust your heart,” she said.

Following Wurtzbach’s tweet, her fans also thanked her for inspiring them to chase their dreams.

One @boytingin123 said the beauty queen’s “determination” is an inspiration to her fans.

Another @arnie_itsme said Wurtzbach had a “certain aura” that played a huge role in her Miss Universe win. “I knew that you [would] bring home the crown,” they added.

Twitter user @amielarasani noted that Wurtzbach’s viral tweet caught the attention of bashers who described her as “too arrogant” to win.

Another fan said they knew that Wurtzbach would be crowned as Miss Universe since she first competed in Binibining Pilipinas in 2013.

Prior to winning Miss Universe, Wurtzbach joined the Binibining Pilipinas pageant three times before she was chosen to represent the Philippines. She was named as first runner-up in 2013 and was included in the top 15 in 2014.
