Xian Lim talks about career choices in podcast show

Actor-director Xian Lim feels one has to just enjoy what life has to offer, meaning, when life takes you to a road you’re not expecting, just enjoy the ride.
Lim spoke about career choices in his podcast show and shared a snippet of it in his Instagram post Monday, Jan. 16.

“I hope you have a wonderful year ahead,” he said in his post.
“Sometimes we gotta take the turn, give up the good, to savor the best,” he added.
In the video, Lim shared a fact about his life that didn’t turn the way he expected it to.
“What was your dream when you were a kid? My dream is to become a professional basketball player. And the backup plan was to be a psychologist, but it didn’t really happen. I became an artist,” he said in the short video.
Being an artist, for him, means that he is “a vessel in portraying different characters, telling different stories through different mediums.”
Driving home a point, he said, “All I am trying to say is life may not turn out the way you planned it to be. It may not be the one you’re expecting, but that’s okay. You just have to make the most out of what life gives you. Make the most out of single situation and fate will reward you with a life worth living.” /ra
