Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2019 Samantha Lo has proven that love knows no gender as she went public with her girlfriend on social media.
Lo revealed that she’s in a relationship with non-showbiz girlfriend Jannica Rubin through a clip of them slow-dancing, as seen on her Instagram account on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
“I know that many of you will have questions after seeing this post so I will answer the question we all want to know: Yes, I am the little spoon,” she said in the caption.

The former beauty queen also greeted Rubin on her birthday, describing her as a “little pea.”
“Happy birthday little pea @jaaaanniiii,” she said.
Rubin responded to her girlfriend’s post using the same nickname, as seen in the comments section.

Content creator Inka Magnaye and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio expressed their support for the couple in the comments.
“Knew it HAHA happy birthday @jaaaanniiii!! Miss you both,” Magnaye said.
“Que sweet,” Panlilio wrote.

Lo’s followers also congratulated the couple for going Instagram-official.

It’s unclear how Lo and Rubin’s relationship began, but the couple was spotted making brief appearances in their respective social media accounts before going Instagram official.

Lo is known for being a supporter of the LGBTQIA community since she was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas Grand International in 2019. In an exclusive interview with INQUIRER.net, the former beauty queen stood up for Pride Month and described it as an “inspiring” celebration.
She also described the LGTBTQIA community as some of the most “nurturing” individuals she ever met.
Lo represented the Philippines in the Miss Grand International pageant in Venezuela in 2019, but missed the cut for the Top 20. Prior to the pageant, she was detained in France for carrying a fake passport that was secured through a fixer, according to the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI). EDV
