Jin of BTS made sure to fulfill his promise of updating fans during his mandatory military service, as he shared selfies of himself at a training camp.

The BTS member, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, took to fan platform Weverse on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to share a glimpse of himself as an active-duty soldier. Jin also clarified that he sought the approval from the military before posting.

“I am having fun and doing well. I am posting pictures after getting permission from the military. ARMYs, please be alive and well,” he wrote.

Of course, fans took to Twitter to express how much they’ve missed seeing Jin’s face.

A fan said, “OH MY GOD SEOKJIN CAME HOME”

“No wonder every girl [at that] ceremony forgot about their brothers and boyfriends and were filming my man,” one @yougotnojams wrote.

“I’m so proud of our Seokjin,” another said.

Videos of Jin at a military completion ceremony have also been shared by one @yw.jm on her personal Instagram account on the same day. The Korean fan revealed that she was able to record the BTS member since her relative was also completing his mandatory military service.

Jin enlisted in the military as an active-duty soldier in December 2022, but assured fans that he would be “checking in briefly” from time to time in a surprise video earlier this month.

Born as Kim Seok-jin, he debuted as the vocalist and visual of BTS in June 2013. He is also best known for his solo single, “The Astronaut,” apart from his songs as a member of the seven-member boy group. EDV
