Singer-comedienne Tuesday Vargas believes that it was destiny that allowed her to be with her current partner, Joseph Puducay, saying that she has wholeheartedly accepted the travails that went with their union.
Vargas recently took to Instagram to greet Puducay a happy birthday, posting several pictures of the two of them together. She narrated that the beginning of their love story was something unexpected, as neither she nor Puducay was looking for someone to love at that time, yet they inevitably found themselves sharing a life together.
“Tadhana,” Vargas started her IG caption. “Yan lang ang alam kong dahilan ng ating pagkikita. Walang naghanap sa atin noong mga panahon na iyon. Hindi ba ngat galing ako sa isang magulong kahapon at ikaw naman ay walang ka balak balak lumugar sa isang sitwasyong pang matagalan dahil masaya ka naman sa iyong buhay?” she said.
(Destiny… That is the only reason I know for meeting one another. Neither of us were looking for somebody to love at that time, since I just came from a turbulent past, while you were not really planning on being in serious relationship at that time because you were content with your life?)
Puducay is a theater actor and former “To the Top” contestant who became Vargas’ beau after she got separated with her husband, Session Road guitarist Coy Placido. Recently, Vargas said Puducay is suffering from a rare disease.
Vargas, in her IG post, said meeting her new partner for the first time brought a surge of blood through her system, as she realized the things they had in common — laughing at the same things, having the same family background, building on their own dreams. It didn’t matter that personality-wise, they were poles apart: she being the loquacious one, while he was an introvert.
“Para bang sabi ng Panginoon, ilalagay ko itong tao na ito para mas maging mabuti ka at mas maging mapagmahal. Nakita kong nagkaroon ako ng mas malalim na pananampalataya dahil may isang taong kahit di ko naman dinasal ay pinagkaloob. Yung lihim kong panaginip ay pinakinggan,” she said.
(It was as if God said that he will give this guy to me so I will become kinder and more loving. I realize that I developed a deeper faith in God when someone who I did not pray for shared my life. My secret prayer was granted).
Vargas told him to remember that there’s nothing accidental in having their relationship, as they are fated to be together from the start, even though they are now going through a rough patch, with Puducay being in the hospital.
“Itinakda na ikaw at ako ay magdiwang nang may kapayapaan sa puso (kahit pa nasa ospital tayo ngayon) dahil walang ibang kailangan sa oras na ito kung hindi ikaw at ikaw din… Mahal na mahal kita. Maligayang kaarawan @josephpuducay,” she said.
