Adele has opened up to fans about her health during one of her shows over the weekend, as she revealed she is suffering from sciatica, which affects her ability to walk.

The “Easy on Me” singer was forced to talk about her condition after she was seen wobbling across the stage in one of her Las Vegas residency performances, as reported by Cosmopolitan UK yesterday, Jan. 3. Adele was speaking to the crowd and handing out merchandise when she revealed that she is suffering from “really bad” sciatica.

“I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica,” she told the crowd.

Sciatica is described as a condition in which the sciatic nerve, which runs from your lower back to your feet, is irritated or compressed, as per the UK National Health Service (NHS).

The said condition usually gets better in four to six weeks but may last longer. NHS explained that people with sciatica may feel pain, numbness or weakness in their bottom, legs, feet and toes—or they may experience a tingling sensation.

This is not the first time Adele has talked about experiencing back pain. She said in an interview with The Face in 2021 that she had experienced back pain for “half of [her] life” and it had flared up normally due to stress or a “stupid bit of posture.” Adele also explained that she had slipped several discs in her back in the past, though working out her core muscles improved this.  /ra
