Joseph Puducay, Tuesday Vargas’ partner, sought healing from God after revealing that he’s “in pain 24/7” due to a rare condition.

On his personal Facebook account on Dec. 25, Puducay opened up about going through Neurocardiogenic Syncope (NCS), Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS), Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome (SMAS) and May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS), which have caused his health to weaken.

“Basically having these syndromes (NCS, MALS, SMAS and MTS) wreak havoc throughout my body. It causes compressions [and alterations] in my gastrointestinal system, circulatory system, immune system, nervous system, lymphatic system, well almost all of my bodily systems,” Puducay said. “The [past few months] I know my health is deteriorating because of these syndromes.”

Vargas’ non-showbiz partner said his health is “taking a nosedive” because of his condition, which can be hard to diagnose despite having visited several hospitals. “I have been to several hospitals, meeting and working with dozens of medical practitioners but there seems to be no definitive treatment plan yet,” he said.

When all hope seemed lost, Puducay felt “validated” after receiving a call from several health professionals who were willing to guide him in his condition. Even if there hasn’t been a definitive treatment plan yet, the doctors are willing to give him “a fighting chance in life.”

“They said it’s not gonna be easy but hopefully it’s gonna be worth it… I thank you Lord for letting us cross each other’s paths. I’m post op right now. They said it won’t fix the compressions but it should help with nutrition and absorption so that in the long run hopefully when time comes for surgery my body is ready,” he said.

Despite feeling in “pain 24/7,” Puducay lifted his prayers as he surrendered himself to God. He also thanked his loved ones, friends and the team of medical experts who support him in his journey toward healing.

“The chance meetings of people that can help, the medical findings that inch their way towards clarity on my condition, the love I feel from friends and family- This is your handiwork… I still have a long way to go but with you in my life and all the other good things going for me, I know I will come [out victorious],” Puducay said.

Vargas also took to her personal Instagram account on Dec. 22 to express her love for her partner.

“Mahirap man ang pinagdadaanan natin sa ngayon ay lalampasan natin ito nang mag kasama. Hinding hindi ako susuko gumaling ka lang. Kapit mahal, may pag asa at may sagot,” Vargas said.

(Even if we’re going through hard times, we’ll survive this together. I will never give up on your recovery. Hold on, love. There’s hope and answers.)

Vargas hinted at being in a relationship with Puducay in February 2020, although she is yet to reveal when they started dating. She was previously married to musician-composer Coy Placido.  /ra
