Oh, 2022 is a year full of plot twists for me—all possible emotions, I’ve probably felt them all this year. It’s also a year of reflection, awakening and realizations. I’ve learned to be accepting, and, in the end, to just be grateful.
My wish for myself is peace of mind, and continued blessings for my family.

My 2022 is a mix of highs and lows! It was so fulfilling to be back in Cinemalaya after 16 years, and for our MMK “Beauty Behind Bars” episode to be recognized by the Asian Academy Creative Awards. But the [2022 national] elections was exhausting and it was also bittersweet to say goodbye to “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” just as we were celebrating its 31st year on air. 2022 reminded me to appreciate life as it comes while still remaining hopeful. Nothing is guaranteed, but anything is also possible. My Christmas wish is for my fellow Kapamilya employees to fully recover from the shutdown, and for quality Filipino talent and content to be recognized globally even more so next year. —Marinel Cruz INQ
